Notice text
This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1 (b) (1). The 139th Airlift Wing, Contracting Office, 705 Memorial Dr., Saint Joseph, MO 64503; has requirement to procure the following repair service:
Repair a 2012 Ford F-550 6.7L Diesel Cab and Chassis with a 16 passenger van shell installed. Damage was caused due to a tree falling onto the cab/hood of the vehicle which caused substantial damage to the exterior of the vehicle with suspected HVAC and firewall damage. A list of visible damage includes but is not limited to the following items: Cab, Hood, Left Fender, Right Fender, Windshield, Bus Nose Section, Right Front Bus Section, Cowling Cover, Dash, Wiper Arms and linkages, Right A-pillar Trim and Right side emblem. Vehicle would need to be towed from the current location to be repaired. Current location of vehicle is St. Joseph, MO 64503.
The Government intends to aware a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) sole source contract to Midway Ford Truck Center, INC., 7601 NE 38th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64161-9457 for the repair work.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code used for industry classification is 811121 "Automotive Body, Paint, and Interior Repair and Maintenance” and the business size standard is $8M.
All responses received prior to the response date and time will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the Government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT.
