About this opportunity
The Consumer Product Safety Commission announces its intention to sole-source award America's Poison Centers (APC) a contract to provide National Poison Data System (NPDS) data and clinical services, with responses due by 2 p.m. Eastern Time on August 27, 2026. CPSC has determined APC is the only known source capable of delivering the required NPDS data, which is owned and maintained by APC. The requirement includes two electronic deliveries of de-identified case-level NPDS data for calendar year 2026 covering human exposure cases involving children five years of age and younger for specified consumer product categories, quarterly emerging product surveillance notifications, up to 30 hours of clinical review support, and one annual technical consultation. CPSC will award this as a simplified acquisition under FAR Subpart 12 procedures, negotiating under FAR 6 sole-source authority. Although this is not a competitive request, the government will consider all quotations and capability statements received within ten business days of issuance. Interested parties may submit written responses demonstrating capability to meet the requirement via email to the Contract Specialist at dbraswell@cpsc.gov. The government retains sole discretion to determine whether to compete the procurement based on responses received. Phone calls are not accepted.
