Notice text
Award of CFA six (6) month bridge contract task order for the US Army CERDEC Flight Activity for the period of March 28, 2013 through September 27, 2013. The source for this action is URS, Federal Technical Services, Inc., 20501 Seneca Meadows Parkway, Suite 300 Germantown, Md. 20876-7007. The authority, rationale for limiting sources and a demonstration of the contractor’s unique qualifications are because URS maintains an aviation, integration and maintenance support staff of over 130 personnel that are experienced in the various unique aircraft supported by this effort. These CFA support services require special test and inspection flight facilities to maintain aviation system integrity both CONUS and OCONUS. URS has the requisite experience and personnel to continue to provide support to Government aircraft, both rotary and fixed wing. Only URS possess the tools, processes and equipment necessary to immediately provide the required services. This effort is a consistent extension of the work performed under previous and current government contract for CFA maintenance and modifications, listed under paragraph 10a. No other service provider can perform the extensive task and air platform integration/ testing necessary to be able to provide the capability required in a timely manner.
