Arapahoe, County, Colorado

Update #1 ·

Project Description: (Approx. quantities)

The scope of work for this contract involves installing a new outlet pipe system for 14 relief wells (installed in 2012) on the downstream side of Cherry Creek Dam in Arapahoe County, Colorado.

Six of the wells, located at the toe of the dam over a distance of 900 feet, will be connected directly to an existing underground 30-inch CMP collector pipe using a 7.5-foot to 25-foot long, 6-inch diameter, outfall pipe. The remaining 8 wells, located immediately north of the existing CDOT right-of-way fence, will be connected to a new 1,370-foot long, 18-inch diameter, collector pipe using a 5-foot long, 6-inch diameter, outfall pipe.

The new outfall and collector pipes will be constructed with PVC pipe and will have with a stainless steel pipe tee connection at the relief well. All piping will be installed from 10 to 25 feet below the ground surface. Two new RCP manholes will also be installed. In addition, approximately 2,500 feet of 6 feet high chain-link fence will be relocated 30' to the north of the existing ROW fence.

The estimated construction cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000.
