The VA Minneapolis Contracting and Purchasing Office, 708 South Third Street, Suite 200E, Minneapolis, MN 55415 on behalf of the Facilities Engineering Service, VA Medical Center, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417 is seeking to award to a suitable Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concern.
This is NOT an ARRA project. This synopsis is published in accordance with VA Acquisition Regulations (VAAR) 810.001 and 810.002.
General Scope of Contract:
Provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment, and design-build services necessary for design and construction of the project "Install Eyewash Upgrade Phase 3."
Contractor shall provide Design-Build services as required to complete the addition, modification, and removal of 60 eyewashes in several buildings of the Minneapolis VA Healthcare System. The eyewashes for this project include both faucet and stand alone types. Design according to VA Plumbing Design Manual and applicable specifications. The Pre-bid meeting/Site-visit will be announced upon Solicitation issuance. The date for offerors to complete and submit their proposals (original required) is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. CT. In accordance with the VA Acquisition Regulations (VAAR 836.204) Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, the range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000.
Liquidated Damages: $500.00 per calendar day, including holidays and weekends. NAICS 238220- $14.0M applies. The anticipated completion of this project is 231 calendar days after "Notice to Proceed (NTP) to Design." All respondents must be registered in the CCR database (http://www.ccr.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://orca.bpn.gov), along with Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/).Respondents must be registered in VetBiz at (http://www.vetbiz.gov/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through this web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the web site to be entered on the Interested Vendors List and/or to obtain copies of the Interested Vendors List.
