SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL BUT FOR INFORMATION AND MARKET RESEARCH PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY! It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.
The Project number for this requirement is DBEH 18-1500 and shall be used to reference any written responses to this sources sought notice.
45 Contracting Squadron anticipates awarding a contract to Install Emergency Makeup Water for Critical Facilities, at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL. The anticipated contract is to provide the labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide cooling tower makeup water in critical facilities in preparation of any Cape-wide water outage event such as a hurricane or major water break. The work shall include installation of a well and on-site controls at each of four critical facilities. The estimated price range of this project will be between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed for the requirement is 237110; Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction. The size standard for NAICS code 237110 is $39.5M. It is anticipated that any resultant award will be for a firm fixed price contract.
This Sources Sought notice is encouraging responses from all qualified and capable Small Businesses. The Government requests that interested parties submit a brief description of their company's business size (i.e. annual revenues and employee size), small business status (i.e., 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Woman Owned Small Business) any anticipated teaming arrangements, and a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers.
Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime contractor and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. The Government will use this information in determining its small business set-aside decision.
As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation currently exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely within the Government's discretion. This Sources Sought is for planning purposes only and does not commit the Government to pay for the information requested, issue a solicitation, or award a contract.
