About this opportunity
The Federal Bureau of Investigation's Finance and Facilities Division issued a Limited Sources Justification Notice on January 29, 2026, for a bridge task order under GSA Schedule 541611 to provide analytical support services to the Insider Threat Office (InTO). The requirement encompasses insider threat analytical support services, including 11 mid-level analyst positions, 8 surge positions, 5 senior analyst positions, and 1 program management position that will also serve as a senior analyst. The FBI awarded the bridge task order to Deftec Corporation to maintain continuity of services during a protest resolution period stemming from a previous contract award (Contract No. 15F06725F001809), with the bridge order spanning from November 14, 2025, through January 13, 2026, with three optional one-month extensions for a total of five months. The justification for this limited source award centers on the necessity to prevent service lapses while corrective action and re-evaluation are completed, with Deftec being uniquely positioned due to its existing security clearances and system access. Although the estimated contract value is redacted in the published notice, market research confirmed these services are available on the GSA Schedule, and the contracting officer determined the proposed pricing represents fair and reasonable value to the Government.
Notice text
An insider threat is the threat that an insider will use his/her authorized access, wittingly or unwittingly, to do harm to the security of the United States. Insider threats can cause damage to the United States through espionage, terrorism, violent acts against the government or nation, unauthorized disclosure of national security information, workplace violence or the loss or degradation of the capabilities of the FBI and USG. InTO serves as the central strategic coordinating component for all insider threat issues. The essential mission of InTO is to detect, deter, and mitigate risks originating from within the organization. The services being required are to address InTO’s need for support services to monitor for possible threats, including mid-level analyst support, senior analyst support, and program management support. There are eleven (11) mid-level analyst positions, with an additional eight (8) surge positions, five (5) senior analyst positions, and one program management position that will also serve as a senior analyst.
