About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure two units of a specific technical data package (TDP) with NSN 7H-2010-011411251, version 007, under reference number H-43768. The government intends to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, indicating a potential sole-source procurement. Interested parties may submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements within 45 days of the notice's publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). The procurement will be conducted with FOB origin delivery, and award will only be made if the offeror, product, service, or manufacturer meets specific qualification requirements. All responsible sources are invited to demonstrate their interest and capability to respond to the requirement.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this procurement. While the exact award value is not specified, the quantity is precisely two units of the technical component. The government has determined that obtaining data rights or reverse engineering the part would be uneconomical. Potential vendors can access relevant military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point at Document Automation and Production Service in Philadelphia, with most documents available in Adobe PDF format through ASSIST-Online. Interested parties without internet access can contact the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk at 215-697-2667 for additional information. The solicitation explicitly notes that the government is not using FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisition, and commercial item providers have 15 days to identify their potential capabilities.
