About this opportunity

The US Geological Survey intends to award a purchase order to Innovasea Marine Systems Canada Inc. for 20 Innovasea NexTrak Acoustic Release Receivers (69 kHz) and one VHTx-69 kHz Transponding Hydrophone under a single-source procurement. Quotations from other responsible parties are welcomed but not required; no competitive solicitation will be issued. The equipment serves underwater and marine scientific research applications. The 20 receiver units are complete, operational 69 kHz underwater acoustic receiver/transponder systems capable of detecting and processing 69 kHz acoustic signals. The single transponding hydrophone unit includes a minimum 25-meter waterproof cable and is compatible with Innovasea VR100 or equivalent acoustic receivers.

Award will follow FAR Part 12 commercial-items procedures. The procurement carries NAICS 334220 (Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC 5845 (Underwater Sound Equipment). Quotations must be submitted by email to Rafael_anderson@ios.doi.gov and received by September 15, 2026 at 0900 EDT. The USGS retains sole discretion to decline competition based on responses received.
