About this opportunity
The Federal Aviation Administration's Technical Center has issued a Special Notice announcing its decision to use single source procedures to award a modification to existing task order DTFAWA10A-00018-0002 for Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) support services. The modification will increase the contract ceiling and extend the period of performance for 60 days from October 1, 2025 to November 30, 2025, with an additional 60-day option period through January 30, 2026, totaling 120 days of extended coverage. This procurement falls under the Engineering Services NAICS category (541330) and IT Management Support Services PSC category (DF01). The notice emphasizes that this is an informational announcement only and not a competitive solicitation opportunity.
The primary purpose of this contract modification is to ensure continuity of current I&O support services while the FAA develops and executes its strategy to competitively award a follow-on contract under the Information Technology Innovative Procurement for Strategic Sourcing (ITIPSS) program. The announcement serves purely informational purposes and explicitly states that no competitive solicitation is available for this particular procurement action. Contractors interested in submitting questions or comments must direct them to Daniel Leary at daniel.f.leary@faa.gov no later than 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on September 11, 2025. The FAA has disclaimed any liability for costs incurred by parties in preparing responses to this announcement, reinforcing that this is not an active procurement opportunity but rather a notification of the agency's intended sole source approach.
