About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure six units of an inertial navigation system (NSN 7R-6605-015329825-KB) with Technical Data Package (TDP) Version 001. The proposed contract will be solicited and negotiated with a single source under FAR 6.302-1, with the government determining that obtaining data rights or reverse engineering the part would be uneconomical. All responsible sources are invited to identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement within 45 days of publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). The award will only be made if the offeror, product, or manufacturer meets specific qualification requirements at the time of award. Interested parties can obtain necessary specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) via online resources, document automation services, or by contacting their help desk.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside is being used for this contract opportunity. While the exact award value is not specified, the procurement involves six units of navigational instruments delivered FOB origin. The solicitation will be evaluated based on the ability to meet technical specifications and qualification requirements outlined in the contract documents. Delivery is expected following the proposal response period, which closes on April 25, 2025. Potential offerors must demonstrate their capability to provide the exact navigation system specification without the government owning or having rights to the underlying technical data. The government retains sole discretion in determining whether to proceed with a competitive procurement based on the responses received.
