About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base has issued a Special Notice for an Industry Day focused on the Tunner Aircraft Cargo Loader (ACL) system sustainment initiative. Scheduled for February 13, 2025, the event aims to gather feedback from industry representatives regarding the maintenance and support of the Tunner ACL, a strategic loader used across 82 global locations. The Tunner ACL is a critical piece of equipment supporting C-5 and C-17 aviation platforms, with a capacity of 60,000K and six pallet positions. The notice was published on January 15, 2025, with a response deadline of February 7, 2025. The event falls under the Industrial Truck, Tractor, Trailer, and Stacker Machinery Manufacturing NAICS category.

The Industry Day will provide a comprehensive opportunity for potential contractors to engage with Air Force representatives about the Tunner ACL system sustainment requirements. The event structure includes a morning open session for general discussions, followed by afternoon one-on-one vendor meetings, with each session limited to 20 minutes. Companies are restricted to two representatives per organization due to anticipated high interest, and one-on-one sessions will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. The sustainment initiative encompasses three primary areas: system overhaul, worldwide material (parts) management support, and engineering support. Interested companies must contact Liz Douglas at elizabeth.douglas.6@us.af.mil to obtain venue details and schedule their individual session. While the opportunity is not set aside for any specific business category, companies in the industrial machinery manufacturing sector are likely to be most relevant. The primary objective is to gather industry insights and potential solutions for maintaining and supporting the global Tunner ACL fleet.
