About this opportunity
The National Nuclear Security Administration is seeking proposals to replace two aging helicopters used for aerial radiological surveys. The draft RFP specifies mandatory requirements for the helicopters, including airworthiness certifications, operational capabilities, avionics, payload capacity, endurance and support items. Technical proposals will be evaluated based on technical approach, past performance, and price. The deadline to submit proposals was extended to January 24, 2020.
No set-aside designations are specified. The helicopters will support the Aerial Measuring System, with requirements across seven contract line items. The amended pre-solicitation notices extended the deadline for technical submissions and company profiles to January 24, 2020. Potential offerors were provided an opportunity to submit written comments on the draft RFP by the same deadline.
