About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District has issued a Special Notice for an Industry Day focused on the operation and maintenance of government-owned facilities and equipment across multiple waterway projects within their area of responsibility. The notice covers eleven major project locations including the Black Warrior-Tombigbee and Alabama River Waterways, West Point Project, Carter's Lake Project, Allatoona Lake Project, and several other significant waterway and dam facilities throughout the southeastern United States. The Agency operates under the Department of the Army Corps of Engineers and has classified this opportunity under NAICS 561210 for Facilities Support Services. The notice includes an amendment that reschedules the originally planned briefing date due to timing considerations. This represents a comprehensive maintenance and operations contracting opportunity spanning multiple states and waterway systems.
The primary purpose of this Industry Day is to engage with potential vendors interested in submitting proposals for extensive facility maintenance and operations contracts across the Mobile District's portfolio of projects. The scope of work encompasses a broad range of maintenance activities including repair of locks and dams, levees, concrete structures, buildings, recreational facilities, utilities, and marine equipment, requiring expertise in carpentry, masonry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and welding services. The Industry Day briefing has been rescheduled from October 21st to November 12th at 1000 CDT, with both in-person and virtual attendance options available to interested contractors. The date remains subject to potential changes depending on government operations, with updates to be posted on SAM.gov. Contractors interested in participating should monitor the official channels for final confirmation of the briefing schedule and additional requirements. The notice indicates this is a preliminary engagement activity designed to inform the marketplace about upcoming contracting opportunities for these critical infrastructure maintenance services.
