About this opportunity
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), on behalf of the U.S. Navy's Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS 5.0), has announced a classified Industry Day focused on advanced development for its Undersea Systems portfolio (PEO IWS 5A). This special notice is issued for market research, information, and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for proposals. PEO IWS 5A specializes in providing advanced development solutions for surface ship sonar, submarine sonar, imaging, and electronic warfare systems. The Industry Day is scheduled for March 11, 2026, at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland. This announcement is not a formal procurement action but rather an opportunity for industry engagement and collaboration with Navy leadership.
The primary objective of this Industry Day is to communicate Fleet undersea system needs and current capability gaps to industry partners while fostering open dialogue regarding potential solutions for future collaboration. PEO IWS 5A is particularly seeking industry performers and subject matter experts in nine key technical areas, including celestial navigation, undersea target depth discrimination, common operating picture curation tools, unmanned vehicle detection and classification, radio frequency detection and classification, cyber network traffic situational awareness, and subsea environmental monitoring. The event will feature morning presentations by PEO IWS 5A leadership followed by afternoon networking sessions with program experts and related organizations. Companies with directly relevant technology or solutions are expected to be contacted for one-on-one follow-up discussions within 3-6 weeks after the Industry Day. Registration information and additional details, including security requirements and agenda specifics, will be posted to SAM.gov in a subsequent update, with a current deadline of February 15, 2026.
