Update #4 · Latest ·

The Program Management Office for Training Systems (PM TRASYS) is seeking offerors to fulfill a requirement to refresh 168 ISMT systems in support of Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES).

In an effort to maintain a sufficient level of combat readiness a requirement exists for a high-fidelity simulator capable of providing training for Marines in the utilization of their weapons and to enhance combat skills. The ISMT Operational Requirements Document (ORD) established the requirement for a deployable, interactive indoor training simulator for instruction and sustainment training in basic and advanced marksmanship on infantry weapons, shoot/no-shoot judgment scenarios and weapon employment tactics.
This effort will require offerors to provide a system that utilizes, to the fullest extent possible, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components in the manufacturing of the training system. The contractor shall also be responsible for providing all labor, materials, consumables, equipment, tools and test equipment necessary to facilitate the integration of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) into a complete training solution.
In order for potential offerors to better familiarize themselves with the existing ISMT system and the environment in which it will operate, the Government will conduct a site visit to be held at Camp Pendleton, California on 19 March, 2013.

***UPDATED:

The site visit will be at the ISMT aboard Camp Pendleton at the ISMT in the 52 Area (Bldg 52653). Directions are as follow:

- From I-5, exit Basilone Rd, turn east through MCB Cam Pen Gate (This is the gate towards the Northern end of the base between Cristianitos gate and Las Pulgas gate);

- East on Basilone Rd through 52 Area (aka San Onofre or School of Infantry West);

- Turn left on unnamed road directly across from the LAV display (road is between a barracks and the Branch Medical/Dental Clinics, crossing a bridge means you've gone too far);

- Turn right into first parking lot;

- 52 Area ISMT is Bldg 52653. It is a tin building with a brick and mortar base.

Potential offerors shall coordinate site visits, at a minimum 48 hours in advance. The points of contact (POCs) for coordinating site visits to Camp Pendleton are listed below:

Mr. Luis Jimenez luis.a.jimenez@usmc.mil 760-725-3854
Mr. Dave Sandvold david.sandvold@usmc.mil 760-468-7510

Subsequent to the site visits, the Government will conduct a half day pre-solicitation conference to be held on 21 March 2013 at the Partnership II building, next to the PMTRASYS office building. The office address for conference is provided below.
