About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Aviation Turbine Engines Project Office, through Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Redstone Arsenal (ACC Redstone), is preparing to solicit production contracts for the T901-GE-900 turboshaft engine under the Middle Tier Acquisition pathway, with a sources-sought response deadline of August 29, 2026.
The procurement carries a partial small business set-aside. Production deliveries are scheduled to commence no later than 2031 and conclude by 2033, with an estimated 60-month period of performance beginning at contract award. The T901 is a next-generation 3,000 shaft horsepower engine designed as a form-fit replacement for the T700-GE-701D in Black Hawk (H-60) and Apache (AH-64E) helicopter fleets, requiring no major aircraft modifications.
Contract line items will cover procurement of engines, spare parts, special tooling, support equipment, shipping containers, Interim Contractor Logistic Support, Depot Maintenance Work Requirements, Contractor Field Services Representative support, and associated training. The Government currently lacks a complete Technical Data Package but requires all software and hardware to have at minimum Government Purpose Rights.
Interested vendors must submit unclassified capability statements of no more than 25 pages and 5 megabytes, addressing company details, business size classification, small business certifications, T901-GE-900 engine technical capabilities, airworthiness qualification data, pricing information, and any impediments to project requirements. Responses should be directed to Erica L. McClain II and Kelly M. Lancy at ACC-RSA with "Sources Sought Response -T901-GE-900 Engine Production" in the subject line. NAICS 336412 applies; responses are informational only and incur no contract liability.
