Added: Oct 10, 2013 4:31 pm The US Army Contracting Command, New Jersey intends to solicit, negotiate and award a competitive effort utilizing full and open competition. The type of contract action being contemplated is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with Firm Fixed Price delivery orders. The Government has a requirement for a vendor to manufacture, assemble and test the Improved Platform Integration Kit (iPIK) in support of the M119A3 and M777A2 howitzers. The iPIK is an electronic assembly consisting of a Single Board Computer (SBC), a Ground Based - GPS Receiver Application Module (GB-GRAM), and an Interface Circuit Board Assembly. When integrated with the howitzer's Digital Fire Control System and the M1155 Portable Inductive Artillery Fuze Setter (PIAFS), the iPIK enables GPS precision guided munitions to be set in addition to standard artillery inductively set fuzes. To be eligible for award, prospective Offerors will be required to have the capability to load Cryptographic keys to the iPIK and must possess both Security Tracking and Authorization Request System (STARS) and COMSEC accounts. The Offeror will be required to provide a design concept for the integration of a Type II GB-GRAM into the existing iPIK Technical Data Package (TDP). The existing iPIK TDP includes an integrated Type I GB-GRAM. The TDP for this procurement will be Distribution D, and Offerors will be required to fill out DD Form 2345 prior to receipt of the technical data upon release of the solicitation.
