About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM), operating through the 409th Contracting Brigade under the Department of Defense, has published an annual procurement forecast for Heavy Equipment at United States Army Garrison (USAG) Bavaria for Fiscal Year 2026. This Special Notice communicates the agency's anticipated purchasing activities to the federal contracting community and serves as advance notification of upcoming acquisition opportunities. The forecast identifies five categories of equipment that IMCOM expects to procure during the fiscal year, covering commercial and industrial machinery and equipment classified under NAICS 811310 and PSC 2320 (Trucks and Truck Tractors, Wheeled). The notice was posted on February 11, 2026, and represents estimated quantities rather than firm commitments. The publication of this annual forecast enables IMCOM to potentially reduce the standard 40-day synopsis-to-offer period to as few as 10 days for subsequent individual solicitations, in accordance with FAR Part 5 and applicable international trade agreements.
The primary objective of this Special Notice is to provide transparency and advance notice to potential contractors regarding IMCOM's equipment procurement plans for FY2026, thereby allowing interested firms to prepare for future solicitations. The anticipated procurements include one street sweeper, one tractor, one excavator, one trailer low bed, and one dump truck. While all quantities listed represent estimates only, contractors interested in pursuing business with IMCOM should monitor for individual solicitations, which will contain precise quantities and detailed specifications. There are no specific set-asides or special eligibility restrictions indicated in this notice; however, contractors must remain prepared to meet the requirements outlined in subsequent solicitations once they are released. All potential offerors are advised to reference the formal solicitations rather than rely on the forecast for accurate procurement details, as actual quantities and specifications may differ from the estimates provided in this notice.
Notice text
In accordance with FAR part 5, for acquisitions covered by the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement or a Free Trade Agreement, the period of time between publication of the synopsis notice and receipt of offers must be no less than 40 days. However, if the acquisition falls within a general category identified in an annual forecast, the availability of which is published, the contracting officer may reduce this time period to as few as 10 days.
IMCOM (through 409th Contracting Brigade) is publicizing its annual forecast with the general type and quantity that it anticipates procuring during fiscal year 2026. The forecast represents estimated quantities.
FY2026
- 1 x Street Sweeper
- 1 x Tractor
- 1 x Excavator
- 1 x Trailer Low Bed
- 1 x Dump Truck
The above quantities are estimates only and potential offerors seeking to do business with IMCOM should refer to the individual soliciations for precise quantities.
