About this opportunity
The Air Force Research Laboratory's Munitions Division at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida intends to procure two iHAWK Rackmount Systems on a sole source basis from Concurrent Real-time, located in Pompano Beach, Florida. The agency has designated Concurrent Real-time as the only manufacturer and supplier of iHAWK and RedHawk software and computer systems, justifying the other than full and open competition approach. However, any firms believing they can provide equivalent iHAWK and RedHawk software and computer systems may submit written responses demonstrating their ability to meet requirements without compromising quality, accuracy, or reliability, and without causing programmatic hardship. Interested parties must respond by email to Jane Ellison at jane.ellison@us.af.mil within four days of the notice publication date, which establishes a deadline of September 6, 2025. All potential contractors must maintain active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and obtain certification through the Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS) to access Controlled Unclassified Information. The written response must reference solicitation number FA865125Q0001 and clearly demonstrate the firm's capabilities.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all responsible sources that can demonstrate equivalent capabilities to the incumbent supplier, Concurrent Real-time. The contract calls for exactly two units of the iHAWK Rackmount System, indicating a relatively small-scale procurement focused on specialized computing hardware. The notice does not specify award values or budget ranges, focusing instead on the technical requirements and supplier qualifications. The timeline is compressed, with only a four-day window for interested parties to submit capability statements following the September 2, 2025 posting date. The procurement falls under the Electronic Computer Manufacturing NAICS code 334111 and PSC category 7E20 for IT and telecommunications end-user equipment. The agency emphasizes that new SAM registrations may require several days for processing due to additional notarization requirements, urging potential bidders to maintain active registration status proactively.
