Update #3 · Latest ·
Amendment 2 - Questions were received about specific serial number information on the pumps listed for this requirement. A revised 'master list' document has been added with this amendment and includes this information for some of the pumps listed. Serial numbers for all pumps could not be gathered because many are currently engaged inside equipment and can't be reviewed without removing the pumps.
Update #2 ·
Amendment 1 information:
Questions have been submitted regarding specific pump part numbers to ensure clarity on pump configurations. As this solicitation is for a multiple award IDIQ, the pumps listed are intended to represent the types of pumps that may be requested on funded, competitive task orders issued from the parent IDIQ contracts. We are working to get some specific part numbers to ensure accurate price evaluations and will update with another amendment.
The response date for this solicitation is being extended to August 22, 2017 with the expectation that part numbers will be provided in the next few days.
Update #1 ·
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to establish a multi-award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract in order to maintain a collection of vacuum pumps to serve as a spare parts for a variety of nanofabrication equipment in support of nanofabrication research and development in the Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology (CNST), NIST's nanotechnology user facility.
The pumps will be used to sustain tools in the NanoFab, operated as a shared resource accessible to researchers from industry, academia, NIST, and other government agencies, ranging from nanolithography novices to experts in the field.
