Update #3 ·

The date for receipt of proposals is changed to April 22, 2014 at 4:00pm local time.  The primary point of contact is changed to Nina Barrow.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest in Georgia is seeking to award multiple contracts for maintenance of forest land boundary lines. Work involves refurbishing property line markings (e.g. repainting previously marked trees, securing boundary signs), refurbishing corner accessories (bearing trees or witness objects), perpetuating corner monuments, and updating form FS-7100-52 Corner Card to reflect the work done. A Registered Land Surveyor is NOT required for this work. If during performance of a task order line segments are found that need to be re-surveyed, incidental quantities will be negotiated as a modification under the task order to be done by an RLS, or if the work is significant the Forest Service will handle it as a separate procurement using Brooks Act procedures.
Contractors will be selected based on experience in maintaining federal boundary lines and updating Forest Service corner cards, past performance, and price on two representative projects.
This solicitation will result in the award of multiple indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity task order contracts with one base period and four option years that may be exercised at the discretion of the Government. Each task order will list the specific activity items.
The guaranteed minimum amount for each awarded contract, inclusive of the base and all option periods, will be $2,500. The combined value of the contract for all awards shall not exceed $500,000 over the base period and four option years.
All work sites will be located within the administrative boundaries of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest.
OTHER INFORMATION: A pre-bid conference is scheduled for March 26, 2014 at 10:30am at the Forest Service office in Gainesville GA. Details will be in the solicitation.
SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND DRAWINGS: The solicitation, AG-435H-S-14-0003 and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps and will be available for downloading on or about March 12, 2014 at the website address: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/
All vendors are required to be registered in www.sam.gov prior to award of a contract.
