About this opportunity

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation intends to solicit an RFP for eight compressor cases (F-100 engine application) with an estimated solicitation release and closing date of September 24, 2026; RFP #SPRTA1-26-R-0418.

The compressor case (NSN 2840-01-626-3126NZ, PN 4089358-01) holds vanes and shrouds and must be manufactured from PWA 1267 titanium alloy. RTX Corp is identified as a qualified source. Award will be made only if the offeror, product, or manufacturer meets qualification requirements as specified in the Manufacture Qualification Requirements (MQR) specification for propulsion critical safety items and critical application items. The MQR requires potential sources to obtain Company Profile approval and submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) containing engineering data, proposed production documents, sub-tier supplier lists, calibrated equipment lists, and quality assurance compliance statements. Approval validity depends on item classification: three years for Critical Safety Items or seven years for Critical Application Items.

One or more line items are subject to Free Trade Agreements. The Government is not using FAR Part 12 commercial-item policies for this acquisition. Interested parties may identify commercial-item alternatives to the contracting officer within 15 days of this notice.

Electronic procedures will be used; only written or faxed requests received directly from requestors are acceptable. An Ombudsman is available at (385)-591-1672 to receive offeror concerns during proposal development.
