The following questions have been submitted to and answered by the Government.
1. The specs call for Woodford Model S3-2 Yard Hydrants, but do not indicate the length. What is the bury depth?
Answer - the model number S3-2 specifies the bury depth required.
2. It calls out AO Smith water heaters, can a equal/alternate manufacture like Bradford White be used?
Answer - Amendment 0001 has been issued which describes the Brand Name Requirement for this procurement.
3. What are the Liquidated Damages to be assessed at?
Answer - No liquidated damages apply to this procurement.
4. What type of materials are in use for the underground pipes?
Answer - We have different types and sizes of pipe including copper, PVC and polyethylene.
5. Can an alternative site visit be set up if I am unable to attend the scheduled visit?
Answer - Not at this time. Due to scheduling, one site visit was established for any and all interested parties.

The Contractor shall supply all equipment, tools, labor, and materials necessary to remove existing yard hydrants and install and make operable industrial hydrants equivalent or better than Woodford Model S3-2 yard hydrants, remove existing dump station towers and install and make operable Romort Water Tower Kits, and remove existing water heaters and install and make operable AO Smith water heaters around Carlyle Lake in accordance with specifications listed herein. All hydrants, water tower kits, and water heaters will be a direct replacement of existing fixtures.
Completion Days - 60 days after date of award
Estimated Range (in accordance with FAR 36.204) - between $100,000 and $250,000.
Solicitation Type - Invitation for Bid - Small Business Set-Aside
Site Inspection - If offered, details will be provided in the solicitation.
The solicitation, including pertinent documents required for preparing a bid, will be posted to www.fbo.gov on or about 16 December 2016. Any interested party is encouraged to revisit this posting around that time to obtain the solicitation documents.
