About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is procuring a ship propeller hub component (NSN 7H-2010-012480377-M2, TDP Version 007) through a pre-solicitation notice posted on August 21, 2025. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, though all responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond. The procurement requires compliance with applicable Military and Federal Specifications and Standards, with technical documentation available through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) and ASSIST-Online database. The government does not own the data rights necessary for this part and has determined that reverse engineering and purchasing data rights are both uneconomical. The deadline for responses and proposals is February 5, 2026, providing potential bidders with approximately 45 days to prepare their submissions and demonstrate capability to meet the government's requirements.

This procurement carries no set-aside designation and is unrestricted to small businesses or other special categories. The contract action calls for a quantity of ten units with delivery on an FOB Origin basis, though no specific award value or budget range is disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice. No incumbent contractor or current supplier is identified in the opportunity documentation. Additional information and technical specifications can be obtained from the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk by contacting 215-697-2667 or 215-697-2179 (DSN: 442-2667), or by mail to DLA Document Services in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Interested parties should note that patterns, drawings, deviation lists, and purchase descriptions are not stocked at DODSSP and must be obtained through alternative means or as part of the formal solicitation process.
