About this opportunity

The F-16 System Program Office at Hill Air Force Base in Utah is seeking information on advanced processing cards for aviation applications, specifically high-assurance OpenVPX cards designed to run containerized Linux software. The procurement aims to secure computing solutions that meet National Security Agency (NSA) requirements for data protection at top-secret levels, utilizing commercial algorithms and standards outlined in CNSSP 15. Interested vendors must have a current and active Joint Certification Program (JCP) certification to access the secure attachments through the System for Award Management (SAM). Responses to the Request for Information (RFI) must be submitted via email to Contracting Officer Laurie Auernig and Program Manager John Lyons by Friday, February 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM Mountain Standard Time. Potential vendors will need to demonstrate their capability to provide aviation-qualified processing cards that can protect both data at rest and in execution.

The opportunity is not designated with a specific set-aside classification and falls under the NAICS category of Bare Printed Circuit Board Manufacturing (334412) and Product Service Code 5998 for Electrical and Electronic Assemblies. No specific incumbent contractors or award values were mentioned in the pre-solicitation notice. The procurement is being conducted by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Hill Air Force Base, a defense agency responsible for advanced technological acquisitions. While specific quantities were not detailed, the solicitation suggests a need for multiple high-performance, secure processing cards capable of meeting stringent military computing requirements. Vendors interested in participating must carefully review the attached RFI documents and ensure they meet the necessary security certifications before submitting their information.
