About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to procure Housing, Fuel Pump components for B-2 aircraft through a pre-solicitation notice for RFP SPRTA1-25-R-0459. The aluminum alloy housings allow motor/impeller removal without draining fuel tanks and are identified by NSN 2915-01-388-3014FW and part number 5009173C. This acquisition will utilize sole source or limited competition authority under FAR 6.302, as the government does not own the data rights necessary for manufacturing and intends to negotiate with only one or a limited number of sources. The evaluation will consider both price as a significant factor and past performance, with electronic procedures used for solicitation distribution exclusively through sam.gov. The solicitation is expected to be issued on August 15, 2025, with responses due by September 15, 2025, and an anticipated award date 90 days after notice issuance.
This procurement is not designated as a set-aside and will be available to all responsible sources, though Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation (CAGE 99167) is identified as the qualified source with previous contract history of delivering 5 units on March 30, 2023. The current requirement calls for 3 units with a possible range of 1-5 units, each measuring 8.96 inches in length, 4.50 inches in width, 4.96 inches in height, and weighing 4.06 pounds. Delivery is required F.O.B. Origin to destination SW3211 on or before November 30, 2030, providing a substantial timeline for contract performance. The solicitation includes Unique Item Identification (UID) requirements and notes that interested firms should contact the Original Equipment Manufacturer regarding data rights, while foreign-owned firms must consult with the contracting officer before proposal submission due to the military application technology involved.
