About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is soliciting proposals for 350 hose assemblies under solicitation SPMYM225Q2005, specifically EPDM synthetic rubber hoses with 300PSI working pressure, 1/2" internal diameter, 50' length in red color manufactured by Continental Frontier Hose. The procurement requires fully coupled, assembled, tested hoses packaged 70 per fiberboard box with specific Foster connectors and bleeder ball checks, with all substitutions requiring government approval. Contractors must comply with federal acquisition regulations including cybersecurity requirements under NIST SP 800-171 (unless exempted for COTS items), telecommunications equipment restrictions, and provide traceability documentation along with manufacturer name and country of origin. The solicitation emphasizes that only complete, signed solicitations submitted via email to rosalie.aranzanso@dla.mil will be considered responsive, with contractors required to check applicable boxes in clause 52.204-24. The critical deadline for bid submission is June 18, 2025, with late bids explicitly excluded from consideration.

This procurement is designated as a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 326220 for Rubber and Plastics Hoses and Belting Manufacturing. The contract requires delivery by September 9, 2025, to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington, where the work will be performed. Each hose assembly must be packaged in boxes marked with stock number, quantity, and contract number, with the government reserving the right to reject nonconforming materials. The solicitation specifies Continental Frontier Hose as the required manufacturer, indicating a brand-name procurement approach. Contractors must provide lead time information and ensure all product quality requirements are met, with strict adherence to packaging and marking specifications for the 350-unit order.
