About this opportunity

The U.S. Defense Health Agency has issued a Special Notice requesting information on available High-Speed X-Ray systems. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to identify market capabilities for a High-Speed X-Ray system that can capture high-resolution, high-speed X-ray images to support medical ballistics research on soldier injuries from behind armor blunt trauma (BABT) and behind helmet blunt trauma (BHBT).

The key requirements for the High-Speed X-Ray system include high frame rates, adjustable field of view, power to image through bone and ceramics, sufficient capture length, and integration with high-speed camera and control/synchronization capabilities. Respondents are asked to provide information on their ability to meet these requirements, descriptions of their equipment, and examples of similar use cases. Responses are due by July 8, 2024 and should be no more than 10 pages. This RFI is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation.
