About this opportunity

NASA Stennis Space Center issued a notice of intent to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Lectrodryer for High Pressure Gas Facility air dryer refurbishment, with a closing date of May 18, 2026. The acquisition will proceed under FAR 12 Simplified Acquisition Procedures unless competing sources demonstrate capability to meet the technical and compatibility requirements.

Lectrodryer is the original equipment manufacturer for the HPB600 dryer units and possesses the proprietary design knowledge, specialized refurbishment capability, and access to OEM-specific components—including main globe valves, instrumentation upgrades, and custom-fabricated piping—required for integration with the existing system. NASA determined that alternative vendors cannot match the technical, compatibility, and safety requirements tied to the original equipment and prior Lectrodryer installations.

Responsible sources may submit a capability statement by May 18, 2026. NASA will evaluate submissions solely to determine whether to conduct the acquisition on a competitive basis; the Government retains discretionary authority to reject the sole-source determination and open competition. NASA Clause 1852.215-84 (Ombudsman) applies; the Center Ombudsman contact is available at the NASA procurement ombudsman listing.
