About this opportunity
The Air Force Sustainment Center is conducting market research to identify repair sources for left and right hand grip assemblies used on HH-60W helicopters, with responses due August 27, 2026. The grip assemblies are manufactured by Mason Controls; the Government does not own repair data and has determined it uneconomical to purchase data rights or reverse engineer the parts, constraining the competitive field to sources possessing existing repair data and rights.
The requirement covers two components: Controller Right Hand (NSN 1680-01-691-2732GC, P/N 799-8707-001) and Controller Left Hand (NSN 1680-01-690-6389GC, P/N 799-8706-001). The grip assemblies function as primary operator interfaces for cockpit MFD screens and EO/IR sensor controls on the HH-60W helicopter in support of combat search and rescue operations. The anticipated contract runs five years (one-year base plus four one-year ordering periods) extending through FY33, with projected quantities of 20 units per year for each component. Security clearance level and foreign participation limitations have not been determined.
Contractors must furnish all materials, support equipment, tools, test equipment, and services, including maintenance and calibration of support equipment. Contractor-furnished replacement materials must equal or exceed the quality of original materials. No set-aside has been designated. Responses to the Contractor Capability Survey must be submitted via email to Kiem Tarpley (kiem.tarpley@us.af.mil) and Leigh Ann Taylor (leigh.taylor.3@us.af.mil). Small business respondents are encouraged to participate, though participation in this market research does not guarantee future solicitation or contract award participation.
