About this opportunity

The FDA Human Foods Program seeks a Konica Minolta authorized service provider for maintenance, repair, and on-site operational support of up to 45 multifunctional devices across six locations, with proposals due August 14. The contractor must be an OEM-certified Konica Minolta service provider; subcontracting technicians is not permitted.

Place of performance spans six locations: College Park, Maryland (two sites), Beltsville, Maryland, Laurel, Maryland, Dauphin Island, Alabama, and Bedford Park, Illinois, with administrative oversight at 9591 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD 20740. The contractor must be headquartered in the DC Metropolitan area and maintain local certified technicians on staff with parts inventory supporting 24-hour ordering capability.

Services cover preventative maintenance inspections every six months, repairs using only OEM-certified parts, remote and on-site support, and emergency response within 24 hours or less. The devices supported include Konica Minolta Bizhub models '0,' '4,' and '8,' with estimated monthly usage of 6,000 black and white and 2,000 color copies per machine across all devices. The contractor must provide firmware updates, loaner equipment, weekly and monthly reporting, and obtain Public Trust Level 5 or 6 security clearance with badge access to four facilities.

The base contract runs from July 13, 2026 to July 12, 2027, structured as Labor Hour and Time and Materials, converting to Labor Hour and Firm Fixed Price in the single option year (July 13, 2027 to July 12, 2028). The incumbent contract, NNG15SD39B, was awarded in 2025 and reduced coverage to 44 machines. NAICS code is 811210, Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance; PSC is J074.

Notice text

The FDA Human Foods Program (HFP) is seeking to continue a maintenance agreement and obtain on-site support for current Konica Minolta (KM) Bizhub ‘4 and 8’ model MFD and new Konica Minolta Bizhub ‘0’ model MFDs between six HFP building locations. We are seeking a contractor with the manufacturer's specifications to include a base plus one option year. These MFDs are utilized in offices with high volume needs regarding the size and number of photocopies/prints/scans required for various document types. Due to budget cuts, HFP decreased MFD coverage in FY2025 under a one-year maintenance contract (NNG15SD39B) awarded in 2025. Coverage will now cover MFDs for 44 machines with only an OEM Manufacturer with Genuine Parts, Certified and Authorized as a Service Provider. Technicians should be authorized certified trained on OEM Konica hardware.
