PRE-SOLICITATION/ADVERTISEMENT ONLY, THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION.

THIS PROJECT WILL BE SENT OUT AS A CALL ORDER FOR THE LAND MANAGEMENT INTEGRATED RESOURCES (LMIR) BPA. INTERESTED CONTRACTORS NEED TO BE ON THE LMIR BPA CONTRACTOR POOL. FOR MORE DETAILS REGARDING THIS BPA, SEARCH '12363N23Q4023' ON SAM.GOV.

Call orders for this will be sent out to contractors on the LMIR BPA tentatively late winter/early spring 2023.

This survey is part of the larger Heber Allotment and survey consists of inventorying 3,507 acres within the Flat Draw area, recording isolated occurrences and new sites, and monitoring or re-recording previously recorded sites within and adjacent to the survey area on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests (ASNFs). An inventory report, GIS data entry, and data entry into the Heritage NRM Database will be required for this survey.

The purpose of the Heber-Flat Draw project is to improve range land, reduce catastrophic fire risk, and improve watershed condition. The project will include thinning trees to promote the return of the landscape back to grassland with mixed canopy cover and reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfires.  Heavy equipment will be used.  Landings will be constructed; haul roads will be maintained, and temporary roads and skid trails will be constructed within the survey area.  Pile-burning of excess material and prescribed fire/maintenance burning may occur.  The project may include a variety of watershed improvements, range improvements, wildlife habitat improvements, and other transportation improvements to help meet desired conditions identified in the Forest Plan and Heber Allotment Management Plan for grazing, vegetation, wildlife, and watersheds.
