About this opportunity

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Shared Services Center is seeking a qualified vendor to deliver a comprehensive Heartsaver First Aid training course for safety, health, and environmental responders at NASA's Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. The 3-hour, in-person course must be aligned with the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines and cover critical first aid skills including CPR, AED use, medical emergency response, injury management, and infection control. Vendors will be evaluated based on estimated training cost, payment methods, rescheduling policies, instructor qualifications, and course syllabus. The training opportunity requires U.S. citizen instructors with current AHA Heartsaver Provider certification and effective teaching skills. Responses must be submitted to nssc-hr-support@mail.nasa.gov by 9:00 am Central Daylight Time on March 13, 2025, with specific email subject and reference line requirements.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this contract opportunity. The training will accommodate 20 learners and is scheduled to be delivered between April 22 and May 6, 2025, with NASA providing the training facility, access badge, and audio/visual equipment. The course is a Request for Information (RFI) and does not constitute a binding procurement commitment, meaning NASA is primarily assessing vendor capabilities and potential service offerings. Vendors must provide a comprehensive course syllabus two weeks prior to training, along with a list of training tools and instructors, and ensure all course materials are Section 508 compliant. The procurement process will involve the NASA Shared Services Center gathering responses, submitting qualifying options to the Glenn Research Center program manager, who will then select the response offering the best value to NASA.
