About this opportunity

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, New Jersey, intends to issue a sole source Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the procurement of Hascall-Denke brand name vehicular and banded antennas to support the Radio Integration System Family of Systems. The contract will be structured as a Firm Fixed-Price arrangement and is being procured under the authority of 10 USC 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, which allows for sole source procurement when only one responsible source can satisfy agency requirements. The Hascall-Denke antennas are specifically required because they meet unique performance specifications for frequency range and interoperability, have successfully passed required testing, and are already integrated into RIS platforms used by Special Operations Forces. These antennas are designed to operate in congested and contested radio frequency environments, cover ultra-high frequency L and S bands, and are optimized for TSM-X waveform communications. The solicitation notice requires responses by August 15, 2025, with no phone or fax submissions accepted, and explicitly states this is not a request for proposals.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to full and open competition, though the government's intention is to award on a sole source basis to Hascall-Denke due to their unique qualifications. Hascall-Denke appears to be the incumbent contractor, as their antennas are currently integrated in RIS platforms and have been previously procured by the government. The contract does not specify award values or budget ranges in the solicitation notice. The antennas will be manufactured to meet MIL-STD-810 standards using corrosion-resistant materials for reliability in harsh environments, and they interface with tactical radios used in Fourth Generation Long Term Evolution and Mobile Ad-Hoc Networking communications. The place of performance is listed as Palmetto, Florida, and the procurement falls under NAICS code 334220 for Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing.
