About this opportunity

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Precision Strike Weapons Program Office (PMA-201) is procuring non-standard depot repair services for one Missile Subsystem Test Set (MSTS) Radio Frequency (RF) Microwave Tray, specifically part number UWAVE P/N 2923623-3 S/N 5709A0698, which is a critical component for the Royal Australian Navy's Harpoon Weapon System. The agency intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price delivery order to The Boeing Company under existing Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-21-G-0006, justifying the sole source approach under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 because Boeing is the exclusive designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the Harpoon Weapon System with sole ownership of the technical data required for this specialized repair. This repair work is essential for maintaining the Royal Australian Navy's functioning Seeker Test Set capability. The solicitation notice was posted on August 4, 2025, with responses due by August 18, 2025, and contract award is anticipated for the second quarter of calendar year 2026. This procurement does not involve competitive evaluation criteria since it is being pursued as a sole source acquisition.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and The Boeing Company serves as both the incumbent contractor under the existing Basic Ordering Agreement and the intended sole source awardee for this delivery order. The contract covers repair of a single specialized microwave tray component, with no specific award value disclosed in the notice. The work will be performed at Boeing's facility located at 6200 James S McDonnell Boulevard in St. Louis, Missouri 63134. Small businesses interested in potential subcontracting opportunities are directed to contact Boeing's representative Chasity Strickland, while capability statements should be copied to NAVAIR's Stephanie Midgett. The procurement falls under NAICS code 336414 for Guided Missile and Space Vehicle Manufacturing and PSC code 1410 for Guided Missiles, reflecting the specialized defense nature of the Harpoon weapon system components.
