BPA Call W912HZ-11-A-0001-0030 for Guard Services at Fort Polk
Update #1 ·
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, ERDC Contracting Office intends to solicit and award on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106 to Vernon Parish Police Jury of Leesville, LA. The Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL), Geosciences and Structures Division (GSD), Survivability Engineering Branch (SvEB), requests that a contract be established with the Vernon Parish Sherriff's Office (VPSO) to provide explosives escorts and explosives monitors as needed for ERDC projects at Fort Polk, LA. Explosives escorts are periodically needed to provide secure transport from the Fort Polk Ammunition Supply Point (ASP) to the explosive test range where a variety of experiments related to SvEB's research efforts take place. Explosives monitors are needed to provide secure monitoring of on-site explosives that must be stored at the test range overnight and/or over weekends and holidays during extended periods of testing. Escorting and monitoring explosives require trained personnel which severely restricts the number of qualified vendors.
