About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Baltimore is soliciting grounds maintenance services for the Washington Aqueduct and satellite installations covering approximately 129 acres. The contractor must provide comprehensive landscaping services including all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, and management necessary to maintain the grounds in accordance with contract specifications and requirements. The work falls under NAICS code 561730 (Landscaping Services) and PSC category S208 (Housekeeping- Landscaping/Groundskeeping). This solicitation was posted on May 22, 2025, with proposals due by July 10, 2025. The contract specifies that estimated quantities listed in the price schedule represent maximum amounts under ideal growing conditions, with actual quantities potentially being less due to environmental factors such as drought, flooding, or construction activities.
This opportunity is designated as a set-aside for Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Businesses, limiting competition to qualifying firms within this category. The place of performance is located in Washington, DC 20016, where the contractor will be responsible for maintaining the substantial 129-acre grounds of the Washington Aqueduct facility and its associated satellite installations. The solicitation acknowledges that service requirements may vary based on environmental conditions and construction activities that could impact normal grounds maintenance operations. No incumbent contractor information, specific award values, or detailed service timelines are provided in the available solicitation details. The contract structure appears to be based on estimated maximum quantities, suggesting a requirements-type contract where actual service levels will depend on seasonal conditions and facility needs.
