Answers to Vendor Questions:
Grounds Maintenance at Sagami Depot DeCA
Solicitation FA5209-18-T-0002
Question 1: Will there be a site-visit for this requirement?
- Answer 1: No, there will not be a site visit for this requirement.
Question 2: The PWS says at least 12 times a year, but the price schedule of the solicitation says 8 units (perhaps once a month). Which is correct?
- Answer 2: The grass cutting season is 8 months out of the year (1 Apr - 30 Nov). In the PWS, we are estimating that the grass will need to be cut at least 12 times during that 8 month period. The price schedule is listed as 8 because the Government will pay the contractor monthly for their services during the grass cutting season. Grass cutting services will not be needed from 1 Dec - 31 Mar.
Question 3: About frequency and working area. Should we cut the area depending on how tall the grass grows, for example "today this area, and that area next month"? Or, should we cut all the areas every scheduled time?
- Answer 3: The winning contractor will need to cut all of the grass at one scheduled time, and maintain the grass at the standards of PWS section 1.1.2.
Question 4: The SF writes the word "DRAFT". Is this the official document?
- Answer 4: Yes, this is the official document. The copy of the 1st page without the word "draft" could not be uploaded due to technical issues.
