This procurement is intended to eliminate hot work on boats by improving the cutting and grinding process, with the equipment being funded by NAVSEA for Shop 11 to test and potentially improve work quality, safety, and efficiency. This opportunity is designated as a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 327910 (Abrasive Product Manufacturing) with a size standard of 900 employees. ENFASCO, located in Pennsauken, New Jersey, appears to be the sole source provider for the specialized equipment required (item numbers FE-CM-SP-KIT & FE-CM-SP WHEEL-3). The procurement calls for a total quantity of 2 each of the specified items under a firm-fixed-price contract structure. Delivery is required by September 30, 2025, to DLA Distribution at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, with the justification document indicating immediate delivery is needed to meet funding requirements. The contract will be performed at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, where the specialized grinding equipment will be tested and implemented to enhance operational safety and efficiency in boat maintenance operations.
