About this opportunity

The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) at Fort Detrick, Maryland, issued a sole-source justification notice on July 20, 2026, announcing intent to award a firm-fixed-price contract to Graywolf Sensing Solutions for an Advanced Sense XM monitor with DSXM-8 Probe Kit, AS-202A Articulating Hotwire Anemometer, and PC-3500 Particle Meter, with delivery by August 30, 2026. DHACA is procuring on behalf of the Defense Centers for Public Health – Aberdeen (DCPH-A) for indoor air quality measurement equipment. Graywolf Sensing Solutions is the sole source manufacturer of these products; only Graywolf can perform maintenance, replace sensors, and provide firmware updates due to proprietary software. DCPH-A maintains a yearly maintenance contract with Graywolf that includes annual calibration and maintenance—a requirement not met through third-party vendors, rendering measurements unvalidated without it. The quoted products are not available through distributors in the United States, GSA schedules, or other federal contract vehicles; they are sold only directly by Graywolf. NAICS code 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing) applies; the size standard is 1,250 employees. DHACA will not award the contract sooner than 15 days after publication, satisfying FAR 5.102(a)(6) and 5.203(a) synopsis requirements. The notice serves as justification for sole-source award and does not solicit competitive bids.
