About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command has announced the launch of the Global Tactical Edge Acquisition Directorate (G-TEAD) Marketplace through this Special Notice posted on December 21, 2025. The G-TEAD Marketplace represents a flexible acquisition vehicle and innovation platform designed to expedite the delivery of operationally ready equipment and software to the U.S. Army, Army Service Component Commands, and allied or partner nations. This notice specifically highlights Prize Competition #2, known as xTech | Edge Strike: Ground, which operates under the Army's established xTech Program. The marketplace integrates prize challenge events with submissions through an open call announcement process to create a competitive and scalable acquisition framework. The initiative aims to streamline procurement pathways while maintaining compliance with federal acquisition requirements.
The primary objective of the G-TEAD Marketplace is to accelerate the fielding of warfighter-relevant technology while ensuring that competition requirements are satisfied upfront, thereby enabling direct ordering capabilities for qualified vendors. Key deadlines for this opportunity include a due date of January 7, 2026, with additional information and official response dates available through the xTech Army website. Selected vendors in the prize competition will receive prize funds, demonstrate their solutions in Germany, and may leave behind equipment kits for follow-on operational evaluation. Winning vendors will be onboarded into the G-TEAD Marketplace, positioning them for rapid follow-on contracts or orders without requiring further competition. The initiative supports multiple acquisition pathways including FAR-based contracts, Other Transaction Agreements, Broad Agency Announcements, and prize competitions, while also facilitating Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales for allied and partner nations. The Demonstrated Experience Entry Path (DEEP) submission window is expected to open in Q3 FY2026.
