About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command has announced the launch of the Global Tactical Edge Acquisition Directorate (G-TEAD) Marketplace, a flexible acquisition vehicle and innovation platform designed to accelerate the delivery of operationally ready equipment and software to the Army, U.S. Army Service Component Commands, and allied/partner nations. This Special Notice, posted on September 2, 2025, with a response deadline of December 19, 2025, establishes a competitive and compliant framework that merges Prize Challenge events with Demonstrated Experience submissions to create a scalable acquisition pathway. The G-TEAD Marketplace integrates multiple acquisition methodologies and enables vendors who qualify through either pathway to be onboarded for rapid follow-on contracts or orders without requiring further competition. This initiative represents a significant shift toward streamlined procurement processes for defense technology solutions.

The primary objective of the G-TEAD Marketplace is to accelerate the fielding of warfighter-relevant technology while ensuring competition requirements are satisfied upfront to enable direct ordering, and to provide a unified acquisition environment for U.S., NATO, and partner nations. Vendors can participate through two on-ramp pathways: the Prize Challenge Path, which includes the inaugural Army xTech Counter Strike Competition and the upcoming xTech Ground Dominance competition, and the Demonstrated Experience Entry Path (DEEP), which will be announced in Q3 FY2026. Selected vendors receive prize funding, demonstrate their solutions in designated regions such as Germany, and leave behind evaluation kits for operational assessment. Winners are onboarded into the G-TEAD Marketplace and become eligible for potential follow-on procurement following demonstrations. The initiative supports multiple compliant acquisition pathways including FAR, Other Transactions, Broad Agency Announcements, and Prize Competitions, while also facilitating Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales for allied and partner nations. Interested contractors should refer to https://www.xtech.army.mil for official competition details and response dates.
