About this opportunity

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service is seeking information from industry on providing global supply logistics operations support solutions within the United States Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) area, specifically in Japan. GSA currently supplies consumer products such as office supplies, tools, hardware, housewares, furniture, and cleaning products to military units in Japan and is exploring a more expeditious local delivery solution, with a target of 3 business day delivery. The key objectives are to determine if a small business can perform this work under NAICS code 493190, understand industry's ability to achieve optimal performance and efficiency, and identify any concerns or barriers to implementation. The RFI requests information on the contractor's capability to meet delivery standards, handle customs requirements, comply with AbilityOne and Berry Amendment Act, and support surge requirements during contingency operations. Responses to this RFI are due by October 7, 2024.

This opportunity is not set aside for any specific business size or socioeconomic category. GSA is the current supplier of these consumer products to both federal civilian and military customers. While no award value or budget range is provided, the potential scope includes purchasing and delivering consumer products from manufacturers/distributors in Japan and other Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliant countries, as well as providing hazardous materials certification, onward transportation booking, and order processing system integration.
