The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541330 and $15 million, respectively. The Government anticipates a release of the Final RFP in August 2021. No Draft RFP will be issued The Government anticipates issuing a modification to this synopsis when the Final RFP becomes available.
It is anticipated that this procurement will be a full and open competition. The Government anticipates awarding up to two firm fixed price contracts; of 20- month duration and approximately $5M each for this definition-phase study. The Final Report is due 12 months after contract award with the Risk Mitigation Report and Technology Development Report due 20 months after contract award. Any proposed technology development or risk mitigation efforts would be included in this fixed price.
