About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to procure an AC generator engine through solicitation number SPRTA1-26-Q-0277. This requirement falls under the Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing category and is classified as an Engine Electrical System Components procurement. The solicitation will be posted on the SAM website (https://sam.gov) and potential offerors are encouraged to submit offers via email. The due date for proposals is May 29, 2026, providing interested parties with one month from the posting date to prepare and submit their responses. As this acquisition does not exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold, a full synopsis has been waived, though the complete solicitation package will be available through the Government Point of Entry (GPE) for public review. Electronic commerce methods, specifically email submission, will be permitted for all offers.

This procurement carries no set-aside designation, meaning it is open to all qualified vendors regardless of size or business classification. The contract value is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold, indicating this is a relatively modest procurement in federal terms. No incumbent contractors or current contract holders are identified in this pre-solicitation notice. The solicitation will provide the specific technical requirements, delivery timelines, and evaluation criteria once it becomes available on SAM, allowing prospective offerors to assess their capability to meet the government's needs and submit competitive bids accordingly.
