About this opportunity

The General Services Administration Public Buildings Service Region 6 is seeking to lease office space in Redding, California through this pre-solicitation notice. The agency requires between 19,954 and 20,000 square feet of office space within a specifically delineated area bounded by Highway 299, Shasta View Drive, Rancho Road, and Highway 273. The space must be located within two city blocks of a primary or secondary street, configured efficiently with proper column placement, and include either first floor or upper floor contiguous space with at least two accessible elevators. Additional requirements include cleaning services between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., compliance with fire safety, accessibility, seismic, and sustainability standards, and adherence to telecommunications prohibitions under Section 889 of the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act. Expressions of interest are due July 3, 2025, with estimated occupancy planned for September 20, 2025.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and indicates the government currently occupies space under an expiring lease, suggesting consideration of alternative space if economically advantageous. The lease structure includes a 10-year full term with a 3-year firm term and requires six total parking spaces, all surface-level and reserved, with two specifically designated for carpools, employees with disabilities, and in-and-out parking for program purposes. The government will evaluate relocation costs including physical move expenses, tenant improvements, telecommunications infrastructure, and agency downtime when determining whether to relocate. The solicitation requires a fully serviced lease and prohibits locations within the 1-percent-annual chance floodplain. Interested parties should direct expressions of interest to Patrick Staley, GSA Realty Specialist, at Patrick.Staley@gsa.gov.
