Notice text

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Advantage Industrial Automation, Inc., 4775 River Green Parkway, Duluth, GA 30096, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mobile District has a requirement to renew the GE GlobalCare software assurance subscription for the software upgrades that were previously procured for the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems. The contract for the subscription renewal for the SCADA systems at the hydropower plants was originally competed and awarded to Advantage Industrial Automation, Inc. The software assurance subscription provides necessary security patches, software updates, and technical support. The subscription renewal is required to maintain and operate the hydropower facility SCADA system, as well as meet NERC requirements. The subscription was originally purchased through Advantage Industrial Automation, who provided the software licenses for which the subscription covers. Advantage Industrial Automation is the sales representative designated by the software manufacturer, GE, for the geographic region in which the software will be used. This requirement is a renewal for a software maintenance agreement and must be renewed through the vendor from whom the software was originally purchased.
It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded. The NAICS code is 511210 and size standard is $38.5 Million.
Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement; however, this notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All capability statements received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this notice will be reviewed by the Government and considered. The notice publication date is 11 August 2016 and the response deadline date is 26 August 2016. However, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All questions should be sent by email to: Angela Taylor at angela.j.taylor@usace.army.mil
