About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center intends to issue a sole source contract for preventive maintenance services on two GE Concept Laser M2 Series 5 Printers located at the Oklahoma City-Air Logistics Complex. The procurement will be conducted under FAR 6.302-1(b)(2) authority, with electronic proposals to be submitted through FedBizOps. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award, and the contract will utilize NAICS code 811310 with a size standard of $8M. The primary objective is to secure a three-year maintenance service contract that includes all necessary labor, tools, equipment, parts, and quality control for the specified 3D printers. Interested parties are required to submit proposals electronically, with the deadline set for December 17, 2024.
The contract will be a firm fixed-price type with a performance period from December 30, 2024, to December 29, 2025. The sole source justification is based on the requirement to use the original equipment manufacturer for maintenance, specifically Colibrium Additive, a GE Aerospace Company located in Cincinnati, OH. This approach ensures warranty preservation and maintains the printers' qualification for aircraft parts production. The maintenance will cover two specific printers with serial numbers GEADDL-M2-900051 and GEADDL-M2-900052. No specific set-aside categories are applied to this procurement, and there are no telephone requests permitted for additional information. The contract will be awarded directly to GE Additive, with the total value and specific maintenance costs not explicitly detailed in the pre-solicitation notice.
