About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a delivery order under a Basic Ordering Agreement to General Atomics - Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) for Ground Control Station Wing Monitor Upgrade Kits, initial spares, C-Band Receivers, and C-Band Transmitters for the MQ-9A Unmanned Aerial System (UAS). The contract, valued at $2,317,408, was awarded on November 13, 2024, using a sole-source justification under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) due to GA-ASI's unique position as the original designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the MQ-9A UAS and its related equipment. The procurement supports the Marine Air Ground Task Force Expeditionary Medium Altitude Long Endurance System, with the contract covering a five-year ordering period that includes engineering support, sensor and payload conversions, and additional Ground Control Station procurement.
